WEvolve Training Philosophy

Have you or someone you've known ever gone to a personal trainer, only to come away injured or feeling like the program wasn’t tailored to you as an individual?

Of course a good training session should leave you "good sore" and feeling like you've pushed yourself. After all, if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you. However, did you know that roughly 90% of the population suffers from joint issues? Sitting too long, repetitive motion, stress, and improper exercise form are just some of the reasons why a majority of people have something wrong with joint movement or muscle soreness. While many trainers may find out your goals and immediately throw you into a routine, at WEvolve every program comes with a free fitness assessment. Besides learning about your goals and pertinent medical history, I do an assessment to look for any issues with joint motion or muscle imbalances. This may indicate muscles which are too tight or too weak, and while working towards your goal, incorporate a plan to fix those issues through corrective exercise so as not to cause injury. 

Injury prevention, and corrective exercise at the beginning of a new fitness program, is one of the most important, yet overlooked, pieces to a successful routine. As an experienced trainer I still incorporate it into my own routines. At WEvolve you aren't given a program that’s “one size fits all." Your program is based on progression with a detail to injury prevention, because you can't achieve your goals if you're stuck on the sidelines.
